We met in a bright courtyard in East Austin with one red cloth, a daughter ready to run and no list of poses.
We started with a game
The first ten minutes belonged to their daughter. She ran under the cloth, hid behind it and showed us the game she wanted to play. The camera became part of the game.

The photo they circled
Near the end, she pulled the cloth over all three of them. The family circled that photo first. It held the noise and closeness they recognized from home.
